New Hope And Light e. V. and its partners Ro- Global and New Hope and Light Cameoon have designed a project aimed at gender equality, through the liberalization of know-how in Cameroon. The pilot phase of this initiative called “She Can Women in the Renewable Energies”
Women equipped to help a deficient solar energy production: New Hope And Light pulls out the big game.
It is in the conference room of the Tou’ngou Hotel in Yaoundé that the future of the solar energy sector in Cameroon is being played out. A dozen, now highly qualified learners are ready to receive their training certificates; a completion of nearly six months of intensive learning during which they received top-of-the-range teaching, alternating theory and practice, in the field of renewable energies. The event focused on the delivery of end-of-training certificates was part of the pilot phase of the “She Can Women In the Renewable Energies” project, an initiative developed by the German association New Hope And Light, which expressed by elsewhere its desire to promote successful professional integration of women in a sector of activity with a strong male dominance.
THEY ARE SATISFIED
Reactions of some actors of the pilot phase of the project “She can: Women in the renewable energy”.
“The She Can Women in the Renewable Energy project is a project that promotes the integration of women in the field of renewable energies, mainly in the mastery of photovoltaic technology. For nine months, we gave women the opportunity to discover the talents they have. I am pleasantly surprised at what these ladies can do in such a short time. We have a fabulous laboratory that allowed them to do a lot of simulations to understand every detail of this technology. “
