Workshop Series for Energy Justice in a Global Context
The project idea “Workshop series for Energy Justice in a Global Context” combines knowledge transfer for children and teenagers regarding the globally unjust energy supply with approaches to developing courses of action and constructing various models. It motivates students to engage with important topics such as climate change, renewable energy, ecological farming, waste reduction, and social justice.
With various methods, we aim to discuss and explore the differences, through a comparison between Germany and Cameroon, regarding the impacts of climate change and measures in global energy policy. We use methods such as group discussions, brainstorming, and partner tasks involving the construction of various models.
Our goal is to raise awareness among participating children and teenagers regarding this issue and collaboratively develop different courses of action. We target children and teenagers with our project idea, recognizing that they are in a critical growth phase where their education and the various influences they receive play a significant role in their future development.
The project is designed to empower children and teenagers in their journey toward becoming responsible individuals, providing them with the ability to critically question problems and understand the social issues that exist in their own environment.
