As part of this project, activities are carried out through workshops:
Germaine Flaure Ngamou stated, “In Berlin, we offer workshop days and extracurricular activities (AG) at various schools.
During regular meetings, participants explore various ways to sustainably generate energy.
To convey the topic practically and playfully for children, we construct models such as wind turbines, solar boats, and electric cars from sustainable or recycled materials.
We also offer such activities outside of school.” As one of the few organizations in Berlin, they successfully bridge the practical gap between Cameroon and Berlin, as practical exchange is initiated:
Germaine Flaure Ngamou: “In various African countries, such as Cameroon, we conduct events on the topics of biogas and solar energy. These events are intended to lead to transformative actions in the context of education for sustainable development. Through our educational programs in Cameroon, we empower women and girls, enabling them to fulfill their full potential.”
With this, the New Hope and Light e.V. organization has already established international partnerships and references, allowing them to apply for internationally co-financed projects and international foundations.
