The Offering

Without energy, social and economic development is not possible: energy is needed to cultivate food, prepare meals, heat homes and schools, operate hospitals, and provide clean drinking water. It enables global communication and mobility and is a prerequisite for businesses to produce and jobs to be created (source: https://www.bmz.de/en/topics/energy).

The overarching goal of our project is to empower children and youth through education to actively contribute to a more just world. The complex of energy efficiency/energy poverty is intended to promote the personal development of young individuals, and through interaction with youth in Cameroon, foster cognitive development through demonstrated intercultural coexistence.

Project participants should gain knowledge and practical skills related to energy efficiency and energy poverty, especially in the field of environmental education. This includes highlighting the interconnections between energy generation and consumption.
