On June 29, 2022, the first SolarCup Berlin will take place at Tempelhofer Feld in collaboration with SolarMobil Deutschland.<\/p>\n

In this regional competition, children and teenagers from both school and extracurricular institutions will compete against each other. In groups of four students each, they have built and creatively designed their own solar-powered electric cars.<\/p>\n

The event starts at 9 AM and will continue until 1 PM. It will be held at Tempelhofer Feld near the community gardens on Oderstra\u00dfe.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Three groups will be nominated for the German Championship through this competition. They will then have the opportunity to go to Dortmund in the fall and compete against groups from all over Germany.<\/p>\n

The jury will select the winners based on various evaluation criteria.<\/p>\n

Creativity, craftsmanship, speed, innovative ideas, and how well the children understand the significance of the theme are particularly important.<\/p>\n

Can the participants explain their project well? Are the information well-presented? Can critical discussions about the vehicle be conducted with the participants?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The central theme of the event is energy justice. Fundamentally, the project revolves around environmental education. The main focus is on energy – the inequality in its distribution and consumption, as well as the requirement for the future to produce and consume energy more sustainably.<\/p>\n

As these topics are unfortunately still neglected, it is particularly important to educate children about them.<\/p>\n

All interested individuals are warmly invited to participate.<\/p>\n
