After the successful SolarCup Berlin 2022, our winners were ready to compete in the German championship in Dortmund.<\/p>\n

Our two groups from the Karl Weise School were excited to showcase their skills nationwide. The Sophie-Scholl-Schule was supposed to accompany us,<\/p>\n

but unfortunately was prevented.\"\"<\/a>However, before the thrill could begin, there were still a few Crusher\u201c<\/p>\n

enrolled in the creative class. To ensure they could get the best out of their models, the students modeled and improved their electric cars under our guidance. For the creative class, it was relevant that each model could run solely on solar energy without a capacitor.<\/p>\n

On September 23, our young innovators, along with their posters and models, traveled to Dortmund with their parents and us, the New Hope and Light team. The German championship was scheduled to begin the next day at DASA Dortmund. The DASA is Germany’s largest exhibition on the world of work.<\/p>\n

On September 24, the spectacle began at 10 a.m. In addition to the creative class, competitions were held in the following categories that day: Ultralight Class A and B, Solar Electric Class, and Apprentice Class. It’s worth noting that our participants from Karl Weise School were the youngest contenders among all participants.<\/p>\n

Initially, all models were checked to ensure they met the category-specific requirements. Then, the students introduced themselves and their models with a poster.<\/p>\n

During the event, our participants were interviewed by a journalist. He was quite surprised that even such young students are interested in renewable energy topics. The youngsters even made it to the news. On September 24, it was broadcasted live and later available in the ARD media library for a few days.<\/p>\n
